Princeton Pi Day & Einstein Birthday Party

Albert Einstein was born on March 14th...3.14...the numeric equivalent of Pi! At 1:00pm the town-wide festivities begin at the Princeton Public Library with a pie judging contest and pi recitation challenge. At 1:59 (the next three numbers in pi) visitors will be treated to a free science fair by Princeton Plasma Physics Labratory in the Community Room at the Library. At 3:14, there will be a pie throwing event and a visit from the world's greatest genius at Palmer Square Green. Throughout the day Princeton Tour Company will offer $3.14 re-enactor/speaker walking tours (of which 100% revenue will be donated back to the Princeton Public Library), and merchants all throughout town will hold special contests and promotions in celebration of the day.

McCaffrey’s has planned an entire day of fun for its customers …. The Einstein-themed movie “IQ”, which was filmed in Princeton, will be playing in the store while workers compete in an Einstein Look-A-Like Contest and Einstein’s favorite tunes are played in the background.  McCaffrey’s will also offer ”Pi Pricing” in EVERY Department!   At 3:14pm, the store will provide birthday cake to its in store customers AND the guests at the Palmer Square Green birthday party and pie throwing event.
